In 1848 Queen Victoria and Prince Albert purchased Balmoral Estate in the Highlands of Scotland and built a family home there. Victoria was enchanted with Scottish design and began collecting Scottish jewelry on their first visit. And, trendsetter that she was, her adoring subject followed suit. These distinctively designed dangle earrings feature burnt-orange colored jasper and bloodstone, creating a cool geometric pattern set in sterling silver. Accented with small half-spheres, they suspend from complementing shepherd's hook ear wires. Scottish chic, circa 1885, at your service.
