ABOUT THIS BROOCH
A winged cherub is magnificently rendered in this truly extraordinary and painstakingly handcrafted antique micromosaic brooch. Minuscule tesserae (approximately a bazillion of them) have been individually placed to create this celestial being that floats in a bright blue sky composed of numerous concentric circles. An exquisitely restrained 12-pointed gold star with black enamel stripes frames this museum-worthy masterpiece. Circa 1875.
