Go east or west? While this ring leaves the options open, it is clear that the decision to put it on your finger is a step in the right direction. Hand fabricated in bright and lustrous platinum, the wide band is punctuated by a glowing 3.75 carat deep denim-blue synthetic* sugarloaf sapphire accented by opposing arrows of baguette and triangle-shaped diamonds. Total diamond weight, .30 carat. A cool compass. Currently ring size 5 1/4. *Circa the 1920s-30s, synthetic sapphires--because of their color consistency and flawless clarity--were considered a modern improvement over their natural counterparts, the differences between the two discernible only with a microscope and trained eye. (And no one will ever know ;)
