Art Deco jewelry designs were often inspired by cultural aesthetics from all over the globe. This extraordinary ring presents a stunning vibrant blue high-dome cabochon lapis, glittering along its edges with tiny diamonds and carved with symbols associated with ancient Egypt. On one side is the Eye of Ra, representing the god of the sun, who the Egyptians believed would cross the sky every day in 'solar boats.' The image of him making such a crossing is carved on the other side. Supported by an openwork scrolled gallery, this captivating gem is held high by vertical shoulders exquisitely decorated with glowing cabochon moonstones and enamel, each brightened by twinkling rose-cut diamonds. A fabulous and fascinating work of wearable art. Hand fabricated in platinum. Total diamond weight - .65 carat, total moonstone weight - 1.40 carats. Now, and forever, ring size 7 1/2.
