ABOUT THIS NECKLACE

Part of a rare and wonderful custom three-piece carved jade suite, this pendant presents a vibrant variegated green oval jade plaque depicting plum fruit motifs and randomly occurring negative spaces that create a striking asymmetrical design. The captivating stone shimmers north and south with a crescent of single-cut diamonds and suspends from a fine 18-inch rope chain. An enchanting jewel, it is accompanied by a gemstone report from Stone Group Laboratories stating: Natural. No indications of polymers or dyes. It is the opinion of this lab that the country of origin is Myanmar (Burma). Hand fabricated in platinum, circa the 1930s. When a set is in order, we have a matching ring and earrings: 30-1-7071, 20-1-12702.

About Art Deco Jewelry

Sleek and modern, Art Deco design brought jewelry into the machine age. Yet these stylish pieces still found room for the fine forms and lines of previous eras within their elegant architecture. In particular, we see many peaceful co-habitations of Edwardian and Art Deco styles together.

Jewelry Care

As with anything of value, especially sentimental value, taking good care of your vintage and antique jewelry from Lang will enhance its beauty and extend its lifespan. We encourage you to have your jewelry checked and cleaned by us or by your trusted local jeweler every six months, to ensure that each piece is in good wearable condition with all gemstones in place. It’s not uncommon for stones to loosen over time, and it’s much easier to tighten a loose stone than to replace a lost one! As stated in our Repair Policy, we strongly recommend that you allow us to perform any repairs, since our jewelers are specialists in restoring vintage and antique jewelry.
