Beginning in 1907, German jeweler Heinrich Henkel and his brother-in-law Florentin Grosse established a jewelry business specializing in jewelry and watch chains made of woven hair. With every decade, the company has remained in step with trends and cultural changes. This luxe and lithe necklace is from one of the most distinctive decades--the 1960s--and is woven, not from hair, but from 18K gold, creating textured overlapping 'ribbons' that culminate in a lush tassel.
